Weird foods – trying Japanese horse meat sashimi

We arrived to Kawaguchiko today, one of the five lakes of Mt. Fuji. We were so ravenous by the time we got there, so we  decided to visit nearby Houtou Fudou to try their signature noodle dish.  While perusing the menu, I saw horse meat sashimi and since Scott and Cathy wouldn’t let me to order chicken sashimi the day before (salmanila shalmanila! The Japanese were all over it), I decided that we should give the horse meat a try. The photo showed some perfectly marbled meat and the waitress said it was super popular with the locals. So here I am giving horse meat sashimi a try, check out the video of my first bite!
