Right on the Itaewon the Burger sign they state they are the “Best Burger in Town,” so Scott and I thought we’d pop in to see if it was true! Surprisingly, the restaurant has been open for about a year, but honestly there are so many restaurants in Itaewon, I feel like I don’t have time to try them all!
Itaewon the Burger
22 Noksapyeong-daero 32-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Korea (용산구 녹사평대로32길 22)
Hours of Operation: 11:30 AM – 9:30 PM
The inside is quite small, there were just a few tables, but we were seated immediately when we arrived at noon. Nonetheless, it didn’t take long for all the tables to fill up.
After perusing the options, we decided to share a BLT with Egg (₩10,900) and some fries (₩4,500 for fries and a drink). We were really impressed that the hamburger meat was actually seasoned. Yes I know it is a strange thing to be excited about, but seasoning on the meat is actually unusual here in Korea! The patty itself was very juicy and it had some added flavor from the charcoal grill that made it very tasty. The bun was also soft and fluffy which is also a win!
Even though we only got a half order of fries, there was a decent amount and they came out super hot and crispy.
Overall, we were very pleased with the food and would come back again! The burger joints here in Korea are really starting to pile up, but it’s still never a cheap food option. However, for the occasional splurge it’s totally worth the price to bite into a juicy burger!
